This educational seminar will feature a keynote presentation by Dale Peterson, industry luminary and Founder/CEO of Digital Bond. Mr. Peterson is a recognized industrial control system (ICS) security expert and organizer of the annual S4 ICS Security Conference, which is now in it’s 11th year.

Mr. Peterson will present on the topic of “Cybersecurity Beyond Protection” and discuss why focusing only on preventive security (blocking technology) is no longer sufficient to reduce risk from advanced ICS malware and targeted attacks.

He will also provide an overview of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and why organizations also need to address its other key functions and best practices including Identification, Detection, Response, and Recovery.

We are also proud to have Mihoko Matsubara present at the seminar. Mihoko Matsubara is Chief Cybersecurity Strategist, NTT Corporation. She is responsible for public advocacy to strengthen networks with global thought leaders in academia, government, and industry by sharing NTT’s and Japan’s cybersecurity efforts via publications and speakership. She has a weekly column for the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper.

Mr. Nir Giller, CTO and co-founder of CyberX, will also be presenting at the seminar. Mr. Giller previously served as a military cyber expert in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), where he gained extensive real-world experience defending critical national infrastructure from nation-state attacks.In the seminar, Mr. Giller will describe the technical architecture of the CyberX platform and how it is currently being used by numerous industrial organizations worldwide to perform continuous ICS asset and vulnerability management, ICS threat modeling, and ICS threat monitoring. The platform incorporates Network Traffic Analysis (NTA) using patented, ICS-aware behavioral anomaly detection and self-learning algorithms to rapidly detect and respond to advanced threats such as WannaCry and NotPetya.

Mr. Giller will also describe CyberX’s ICS Malware Analysis Sandbox, an automated cloud-based service for identifying ICS-specific malware and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), such as Industroyer and TRITON as well as zero-day attacks.
